Isaac RosenbergDied: Circa 1918
Isaac Rosenberg was an English poet, painter, and soldier, best known for his powerful poetry written during World War I. Born in 1890 to a Jewish immigrant family in Bristol, he grew up in London and pursued both art and literature. His war poems, such as "Break of Day in the Trenches", are noted for their vivid imagery and emotional depth. Rosenberg was killed in action in 1918, and he is now regarded as one of the finest war poets of his generation.
